Band frontman Adam Duritz has hinted that their next studio record may be released as soon as early 2007, which both him and guitarist Dan Vickrey indicating the band recently spent three weeks working in a Hell's Kitchen recording studio with Gil Norton, the producer behind 1996's "Recovering the Satellites." Vickrey has added that the forthcoming album will sound closest to "Recovering The Satellites"
I AM WEARING A HUGE HAPPY HAT.
By the way, I really want to get an apartment in Hell's Kitchen even though it's nowhere near the school I'm going to. What a cool name for a neighborhood. Sure beats Ridgecrest. Hell's Kitchen gets bonus cool points for being the stomping ground of the Irish mafia.

Time for my monthly LJ update.
I am in the best fucking mood for the following reasons...
- The temperature in the Valley hit triple digits this week. Heat index for today is supposed to be 110 degrees. Call me crazy, but I love this weather.
- A month from today I will make my grand return to Myrtle Beach, my old stomping grounds, for the first time in ten years.
- Went out in Springfield last night for Nicole's 21st birthday and had a blast. Jaime (who I LOVE) was there too. Fun fun fun. Ran into some Ridgecrest dudes too.
But most importantly...
- I've talked about it long enough, time to get some shit done. I am going to be relocating myself to New York City in January for the purpose of attending the New York Film Academy. Props to Dow Jones for funding such an endeavor.

You know what really bugs me? When I discover an awesome album and I'm really enjoying it and then I realize it came out forever ago.
Specifically, today it's "Half Dead & Dynamite" by Lifter Puller, a nine year old album. I should have been listening to this fucking thing back in 1997 instead of The Queers and MxPx and whatever other silly horseshit I was listening to back then.
Figures. I never learn to appreciate anything until it's lost, cancelled, dead, shut down, broken, out of print, or bulldozed.
In contrast, this new Super Mario Brothers game for the Nintendo DS is pretty awesome. I already beat it. Goomba motherfuckers fear my fireball skillz.
